Word extension broken after 24 August update

I am using an older Macbook with macOS Catalina. The Word extension used to work fine, but having just tried to use it get the Missing Permission message. I followed the instruction to tick the box for Word under Zotero in the Automations section of Security settings, but found it was already ticked. My suspicion is that this problem arose after the 24 August update to the extension.

Any help solving this welcome.

    No, there were no recent changes to the Word plugin. This is a problem on your system.

    If you're having trouble, I'd recommend upgrading macOS if you can. All the new permissions stuff from 10.14 was much buggier in earlier macOS versions, and they've improved it somewhat in later versions.

    If you can't upgrade you can try running opening Terminal from Spotlight and running tccutil reset AppleEvents, which will reset all permissions in that pane, or you can try deleting Zotero from Applications, emptying the trash, and reinstalling from the download page, but no guarantee that either will fix the problem.

    @dstillman - It's been a long time since you replied, but I just saw this again and wanted to say thanks. I got everything working again with a reset.
