Copying Note text out of Zotero adds mystery backslash
I have just installed Zotero 6.0.12 on my new Mac (Apple silicon, OS 12.5.1) and have noticed a new behaviour.
I have notes in Zotero, such as:
\footnote{David Easton, \textit{A Systems Analysis of Political Life} (Wiley, 1st ed, 1965).}
When I copy this text out of Zotero and paste it into another application, backslashes are added:
\\footnote{David Easton, \\textit{A Systems Analysis of Political Life} (Wiley, 1st ed, 1965).}
How do I avoid this behaviour?
(Yes—these are LaTeX footnotes. For various reasons, I do not use Zotero to automatically reference for me. All my citations are "hard coded", which is why I store them in notes).
