Admin vs Edit vs Read-Only?
Is there an exiting way to enact read-only access in a Group without giving full admin privileges to everyone who needs to edit items?
Right now, because there is only a distinction between Admin and Member (Owner is irrelevant here), it seems like the only way to have a read-only mode in a Group is to give Admin rights to everyone who is allowed to edit. But, the documentation indicates that, "Administrators can change a group's public/private status, members' roles, and group library settings." There are many use cases where it would be extremely undesirable for all users who can edit items to also be able to make such fundamental changes to the Library. The alternative seems to be to allow any member to have edit rights, but there again, you may be forced to allow certain users to have more access than they should (i.e., people who should only be able to see the library can change its items).
If the ability to separate admin vs editor vs read-only is not a current feature, I propose that it would be a really important future feature.
Thank you.

adamsmithNot sure if that fits your use-case, but a public/closed group is read only (in the web interface) for non-members. That does mean it's visible to anyone and non-members won't have the group in the desktop clients, so YMMV, but mentioning it in case it's useful.
