Backup and remove old files from synced Library

Newbie here. I have a storage plan and have reached my limit. I have a lot of PDFs from past classes that I'd like to keep for later papers, but that don't have to do with my current dissertation. Is there a way to exclude files that I currently don't need from the sync?

    No, file sync uploads are all or nothing. You'll need to delete some files or increase your plan to sync additional files.

    Note that you can switch between storage plans at any time, so you could temporarily increase your plan if you want to fix syncing immediately and deal with freeing up space in a few days/weeks. Switching to a larger plan will just move your expiration date forward. (If you later switch back, your expiration date would be sooner than it is now, since you'd be using the stored value at a faster rate.)
