PDFs showing up blank in Zotero reader

Hi,

I have a number of PDFs saved into Zotero that I used to be able to open up and read in Zotero. For some reason, however, now when I open them up in the Zotero reader, they show up completely blank. On the other hand, when I use Acrobat reader to open them, they are normal and I can read and highlight text as usual. Can anyone perhaps help me figure out what is going on here? I'd like to continue using these texts in Zotero itself, for ease of workflow, rather than opening them up separately in Acrobat.

    I assume you've tried restarting Zotero and/or your computer?

    Can you take a screenshot, upload it somewhere (e.g., Dropbox or Google Drive), and provide a link here, and also provide a Debug ID for opening one?

    To be clear, you're saying you can do right-click → Show File and open the file in Acrobat and they work?

    Sorry, I didn't see this earlier! Thank you so much for your help! Yes, I have tried restarting Zoteroa and computer with the same result.

    And yes, when I right-click and select Show File, then open it up in Acrobat, everything works and I can see the text.

    OK, so it's not totally blank — there's some text along the left side.

    Can you email that PDF to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread?

    Yes, I should have said that the actual content of the pages is blank but that there is some peripheral text identifying the PDF download source and date.

    I just sent the email to Zotero support.

    That seems to be a problem with our underlying PDF.js library. I created an issue upstream (used another publicly available version of the PDF file).
