Google Docs will not give me an option to add citation

I am new to google docs. I have Zotero installed on my Mac and used it with word. Zotero is showing up on my google doc, but when I click on it, a little arm/bar type thing extends below it without presenting add citation (or anything). Please help - thank you!

Try disabling your other browser extensions, and then reload Google Docs.

You should re-enable them one by one, reloading Google Docs each time, and see if there's a specific extension that breaks it. If so, let us know.
