Zotero connector not working on safari or firefox.

Hi.

1545140128 is my firefox report. I'm on zotero 6.0.9. When I try to save a pdf, I get the red x in my extension bar.

I've done https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/connector_zotero_unavailable and the privacy modules were disabled. I tried in safari and it also can't push to zotero.

I'm hoping this posts to my local instance, not the cloud version.

Not sure what the next steps are, but interested if anyone has solutions.

What URL are you trying to save? Does it fail for all websites? Could you produce a Debug ID from Zotero for a save that fails?

It's specifically this file:

but other PDFs have the same issue. There was a debug id in the main post, but here's another: 557257073

We need a Debug ID from Zotero for a save that fails. You're providing a Report ID from the Zotero Connector.

I got "an error occurred sending debug output". Wee! This is likely due to my connection being monitored for work reasons, which inserts a MITM TLS cert. Here is a gist of the debug output. It looks like the PDF isn't being downloaded correctly somehow?

Yeah, it's just the same issue. PDFs download from Zotero, not the browser, and no connections from your Zotero are working.

(If you don't want to bother with the certificate override instructions, as it notes, an upcoming version of Zotero later this year will system root certificates automatically, which will likely fix it for you. But in the meantime you would have to manually download PDFs and drag them into Zotero on top of saved items, and various other functionality won't work.)
