Feature suggestion/request: excerpts of PDF search (as in Mendeley Desktop)
Hi
One of the features I liked about Mendeley Desktop, which I hadn't seen replicated elsewhere yet (it's not in Mendeley Reference Manager), and which would be great to see in Zotero, is that when one did a search of a folder, it would show small excerpts of each PDF file, to show how your search terms appeared in context
(This is a lot like how search engines like Google or Scholar Google show excerpts of a page's content, with one's search terms highlighted)
This way, one can more easily tell, at a glance, which references are the most to one's search query
However, as it stands, when one does a search in Zotero, even if PDFs are fully indexed and their full-text content is included in the search, there doesn't seem to be any excerpt shown from each search result.. so it's harder to tell which one is most relevant.
Thank you for considering this

adamsmithThis has been planned for a long time, but does require some UI updates, so likely won't happen super soon. Under the hood, Zotero is already aware of the search context (not that that helps you)
