Zotero in browser: how to search /open PDFs

edited July 19, 2022
Hi.. I have 2 questions about using Zotero in a browser that I'd be grateful for your help with

1) Many references in my library have an associated PDF file. But only a small fraction of these has a clickable PDF when viewed in the browser (the others have a greyed-out PDF). Is it possible to fix this? (This library was imported from a Mendeley local file, in case that makes a difference)

2) When searching via the web, is it possible to search full-text of all the PDFs in the library (or just search author list, paper title, journal name, abstract etc)?

Thanks!
  • 1) You're at your file sync quota, so you won't be able to upload additional files unless you add a storage subscription. Zotero will show a warning about this next to the sync button when you sync.

    2) Yes, you can change the search mode to "Title, Creator, Year + Full-Text Content".
