Upgrade StorageHighlights and notes syncing in 2.0b7.4

Apologies if this has been covered before, but while I've seen quotes like "Existing annotations and highlights do not, and will not, sync in Zotero 1.5," I've not seen anything similar for 2.0b.
So here's the question: In 2.0b7.4, can highlights and annotations from snapshots be synced from one machine to another? If so, what are the requirements to get it to work. If not, can any of the developers speak to the possibility of the inclusion of this feature in 2.0 final?

I am having the same issue. While file synching is working beautifully, annotations and highlights do not synch. Have you found a solution to this problem?
