Sorting by date does not consider months and days

As I reported here: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/comment/412542/#Comment_412542
When using the date column to sort by date, articles are sorted only according to the year and the month is not taken into consideration.
Thus when ordering ascendingly you could have an article from June appear before an article from May of the same year.

I'm running Zotero 6.0.9 on Windows
I have disabled all the addons and the behaviour doesn't change.

You can check this images, an article from February is sorted after one from December.

  • I just misspoke in the other thread. If you sort by Date, it sorts using the full date. If you sort by Year, as you're doing, it sorts using just the year, and then continues with the next column in the sort order, which in your case is the Creator, as you can see. This is really the only option that makes sense — otherwise you couldn't sort by Year and then Creator, which is a pretty common sort order.
  • Sorry, I didn't realize that field was in fact available...
Using the date column works seamlessly, even though I would prefer not seeing the full date.
