Word plugin: can't edit citations?
When working with Word (Word for O365 version 2206), I can't seem to go back and add other sources to a citation when using Chicago Manual of style 17th ed. (full note) - regardless of whether I highlight the footnote where is appears in the text or at the footer it just adds a new footnote next to the old one. Placing the cursor immediately before or after the footnote does not seem to work either.
At the moment I have to change the entire document over to the author - date style in order to be able to select the citation and add in other sources, which impacts the readability of my document quite significantly, or recreate the old citation in the newly generated footnote, add in the new sources, and then go back and delete the first footnote.

(This should be much clearer if you set field shading to "Always" in your Word settings, if that's not the current setting.)
