Editor field filled in with wrong information after exportation from data base "PsycINFO"
Hi,
I exported my search from the data base "PsycINFO". Now I receive the messages that
"The creator name “Ash, Bak, Barde, Blair, Boschi, Boyle, Boyle, Broo…” in one of your items is too long to sync. Shorten the field and sync again.
If you receive this message repeatedly for items saved from a particular site, you can report this issue in the Zotero Forums."
Could somebody help, fix this?
I tried to delete the names in the editor fields manually but there are to many files...
Best wishes,
Helene

sorry, but I am not sure which URL you mean.
The error message I posted above refers to this article:
https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/17549507.2018.1442498
It is one of numerous (350+) references I imported from PsycINFO - all of them journal articles. For some reason, the Zotero entry for most references contains a field 'editor' with a list of dozens of names. Of course, having an 'editor' field does not make sense for journal articles, moreover the names in the field have no discernible relation to the article itself (they are not a repetition of the authors or something similar).
So far, I have tried manually deleting the 'editor' field for every reference, but given the number of references this hardly seems feasible.
I hope this description helps. Please let me know if I can provide more info to resolve this issue.
Many thanks in advance!
Helene
Thanks for the quick reply. I think that there is a problem between EBSCO and Zotero. All articles I imported from EBSCO have this "editor field bug".
I hope that this is the EBSCO URL you meant:

Please let me know in case you need more information.
Best wishes,
Helene
