Upgrade StorageZotero Connector (Browser Plugin) - Exit or ESC to not save to library

The Connector addon is extremely useful and works, however I notice that if accidentally selected, say if I decide not to save an object (article, website etc.), the objects still ends up in the database.
(I sometimes decide I want to save another layer of the website, for example, then hitting ESC to "get out" of the saving menu in Connector, but the object is still saved.)
Can this be prevented or ESC used as key to not save to library? Or I do something wrong (user!)
