A display problem: the dot that represents differential disappeared

There is a dot above letter that represents differential in control engineering.
The PDF reader in Zotero didn't display the dot correctly, but Acrobat could display it normally. Both software opened the same PDF document. Is it a bug? or the specific document caused?

Does it help if you disable hardware acceleration?

I have tried disable hardware acceleration just now, however it doesn't work.

Also please describe how to locate the specific part of the PDF file that is causing the problems.

The issue will be fixed later this year, when we upgrade our underlying PDF reader engine (PDF.js).
