iOS app

Finally upgraded my iPad - mainly so I could use the Zotero app (longtime and very happy desktop Zotero user).

I’m using Safari and share to save a document to my Zotero library. So far, so good, and the document is added to my library. But I can’t seem to keep the PDF - even when it’s a PDF I’m sharing.

This is the paper: https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/epub/10.1080/17439884.2022.2095568?needAccess=true

What am I doing wrong? Many thanks.

That's an online PDF reader from the site — saving from there won't work. Always save from the abstract page (where "View in Publisher's site" takes you in that reader).

If you're not getting the PDF while saving from the article page, provide a Debug ID for the save attempt.
  • Thank you Dan.

I was trying both the abstract page and the pdf, but will stick with the abstract page in future. In the “share” to Zotero window, the pdf is identified, but still doesn’t appear in Zotero. The debug ID is D459005593 from https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s42438-022-00325-0.

    Best wishes and thank you.

  • OK, thanks. We'll take a look.
  • Thank you very much. You do a fantastic job, which is all very much appreciated!
  • since the minor hiccup when I first started to use the iOS app, it’s been brilliant. Exactly what I was hoping for.

Thank you so much to the whole team for your amazing work.

  • @wayneholmes: If you're still using the app, can check whether the above article and PDF now save correctly for you?
