Help - Deleting Text when entering in meta data

I hope I can explain this well. When I am updating the metadata of an entry (publication name, author, etc) sometimes Zotero deletes the text while I'm typing and I have to retype it. For example, - Eric De....(zotero deletes) and then I have to start over.

Any advice?
