When I open an attached JPEG within Zotero, how can I vary the zoom? The photographed documents are either too small to read or enlarged to show just a fraction of the original. Any answers?
which program opens the jpeg? Zotero doesn't have an image viewer - it opens jpgs with whatever FF is using - which may or may not have zoom functionality and may or may not allow you a default zoom %.
I'm not even sure you can set Firefox to open natively supported files such as JPEGs externally. (Or maybe you can, but not easily.)
So assuming the files are just opening in Firefox, this would be a Firefox question, not a Zotero question. (However, you can zoom in and out via the View->Zoom options or the associated keyboard shortcuts. By default Firefox resizes large images due to the browser.enable_automatic_image_resizing hidden pref, though clicking should unzoom.)
Thank you both for your comments. I've been back to the attached jpeg files and rather than "viewing file" which opens the file in Firefox as you've suggested (not zotero) either super large or super small, without zoom functionality, I tried "show file" and ended up viewing the jpegs via Microsoft Picture Manager and that worked fine. Thanks for responding to my query which was rather a simple one.
