Citations not in order of appearance

In my overleaf project, my citations are appearing in a totally random order rather than the order in which they appear in the thesis or .bib file.

I've tried using \bibliographystyle{unsrt} but this isn't working. Does anyone know why this usual approach might not be doing anything here? Are there other methods to get my citations in order?

    Doesn't really seem like a Zotero question -- Zotero's involvement with your overleaf document ends at the moment overleaf pulls the bib data from the Zotero API.
    FWIW, I'd look at the bibtex style file (i.e. the .bst) as the most likely problem. Have you tested with a different one?
    Beyond that, I'd ask Overleaf support or on https://tex.stackexchange.com/
