Recursive collection and timeline (feature request ?)

I might be wrong but it seems impossible to display a timeline from a recursive collection. When you try to generate the timeline, you get a completely blank one. It would be a very nice feature, if it's not already possible.

(It's the same problem with reports but you can manually select all the items of the recursive collection (ctrl+a) and generate a report; however this trick gives no solution for timeline from a recursive collection)
