Deleting 100s of tags easily (at once?)
Hi-
When I opened my Zotero account several years ago I errantly imported a whole bunch of automatic tags from my previous bibliography manager. Now, I'd like to (finally) delete all the old auto tags. I tried the Zotero "delete automatic tags" option. However that doesn't work b/c all those tags were imported into the library and are therefore not interpreted as automatic tags but user-added tags. I've been going through one-by-one in the bottom left corner of the UI and deleting them, but there's literally 100s. Is there any easier way to do this?
In the future a "tags manager" screen would be amazing, so that we could do this kind of periodic tags maintenance so much more easily!
Thanks so much! Ben

adamsmithare there any tags you want to keep? Deleting *all* tags is much easier than bulk deleting some.

waiheke123Alas... There are. Any suggestions in that case?

waiheke123But how would you delete all tags, if I may ask?
-
waiheke123That way I could temporarily relocate my important tags to a temporary folder and then retag them all once I deleted all the incorrect tags. However, the problem seems to be that I can't "select all" tags. That option is greyed out and won't work with keyboard shortcuts either. Do you know a way? I'd be extremely grateful!!!
