Is it possible to make Zotero automatically download an entire MARC record or a call number?
Is it possible to make Zotero automatically download an entire MARC record or at least have it download a Library of Congress call number when saving book entries from a library website?

adamsmithNot sure what download MARC means in this context (I assume you don't just want a text file with the MARC? in any case we definitely wouldn't do that), but Zotero does use the MARC when it can get to it and should typically import the call number into the call number field -- if you can point us to a case where it doesn't, we can say more.

polacbearedited May 20, 2022Sorry, maybe my question wasn't clear enough. If I go to a given library website and find a book, how do I the bibliographic information (including call number!) into Zotero? For instance, the book located at https://vtls-crts-app.iii.com:7443/lib/item?id=chamo:49925&fromLocationLink=false&theme=CRTS. Right now it only lets me download the whole page as a snapshot. I get the same problem when I visit the actual Library of Congress web site. When I visit a library site that Zotero recognizes, such as this one from Princeton (https://catalog.ptsem.edu/record=b1065858~S1) it downloads the entry but not the call number.
