Problem with Word

For the past few days, it has been completely impossible for me to insert new citations into my paper, or even to modify the citation style of my document. I always get the message "Zotero encountered an error while updating your document".
I have followed Zotero's troubleshooting instructions to the letter but with no success.
What should I do ?
I specify that I have the same problem on my Windows PC and on my Mac.
