PDF Reader: Can I highlight text in a highlighted section?

I have highlighted a paragraph in yellow and I would like to highlight single words in that yellow section in red. Is that possible?
If not, for me this would be a great feature.

I just found a solution. You have to mark the individual words first and then the whole section. Still, it would be great to be able to do it the other way around without having to delete the already highlighted text again.

You can hold down Shift to select and highlight text within a highlight.
