Downloaded PDF's don'''t work with Zotero Connector

Sometimes I'll download a pdf and try to use the save to zotero chrome plugin to get it to my zotero desktop library, but it doesn't seem to work. I click the button and nothing happens, no pop-up that displays whether the PDF was found or where the file was deposited... Where am I going wrong?

    Can you provide an example URL and a Debug ID from the Connector for reloading the PDF and trying to save?

    @dfriedman333: Oh, wait, if you're talking about PDFs you've already saved locally and are just viewing in the browser, with a file:// URL, that won't work. Extensions can't run on local files. In that case you'd just drag the downloaded PDF to Zotero.

    To avoid this, you'd want to use the save button on the online source. (For an academic journal or similar, you'd also want to save from the article page, not the PDF itself.)
