I have a question as I did not understand the documentation. Does Zotero create their own styles regarding standards or just use styles from the CSL repository?
The CSL project is its independent project to Zotero, but both work very closely together to optimise CSL with Zotero fields. A new CSL style will be available from the Zotero repository within an hour of publishing. For other softwares that takes longer, afaik. CSL styles can be used with a myriad of softwares that utilise CSL. Mendeley, RefWorks, Papers etc., but by far the best integration is with Zotero.
