PDF viewer feature request: duplicate tab
While reading a PDF, I like to have the same document open in two tabs. This is useful for consulting the references list, or looking at a diagram. It is the computer equivalent of adding physical bookmarks to a paper book to facilitate quickly jumping between sections.
Currently, the best way to do this is to re-open the document from my library by clicking "open PDF in new window". However, I prefer to have the documents open side-by-side in the Zotero tabs. After all, that is why applications use tabs, rather than having multiple windows. To do this in Zotero, I can create a duplicate of the file in my Zotero library. Creating duplicate files is clunky, though.
I imagine many others also like to have multiple copies of a PDF open. I also suppose that others prefer to keep everything in a single window. So, I propose adding a "duplicate tab" option to the context menu when right-clicking on a PDF viewer tab.
