Got this automatically when accessing / re-opening Zotero iOS after locked home screen on an iPad. Nothing dramatic happened and I was able to access an attached PDF after a few attempts. I hope this helps.

    1.0.3, which fixes a few crashes, is out now, so you can try updating to that.
