Unable to add manual formatting to in-text citations Word plugin
Hi, I want to mark up my document to show newly added citations and other changes. I'm using a custom Vancouver citation style, numbered in-text citations. I have tracked changes (red markup text) turned on but the in-text citation numerals show as black when they're entered. I manually formatted them as red text but when there's a change to the citation list they revert to black.
I'm using Word on Windows, Zotero 6.0.4 and plugin was updated about a week ago.
Any tips on how I can get these to show as red text for purpose of marking up the changes to the document?

Manually editing citations will prevent Zotero from updating them, otherwise Zotero does not see custom text formatting for citations and will overwrite them if it needs to update them. I recommend you annotate the newly inserted citations by prepending a prefix or adding a suffix to the end to mark them as new.
