Elsevier article number ends up in "pages" field
Many PDFs I have recently downloaded from Elsevier ScienceDirect include an article number. For example,
Volume 197, December 2020, 105700
(https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0169260720315339?via=ihub)
The article number ends up in the pages field of BibTex. In this case, the field takes the value 105700.
Is this the expected behaviour?

adamsmithYes. In the vast majority of citation styles, article numbers are treated like pages. For BibTeX specifically, I don't think there's another place for them
