Items pane cutting off on right side in both standard and stacked view

Report ID #1311290882

I can't view the right edge of the items pane, regardless of which view I'm in, which means I can't add authors/editors/etc. The plus icon doesn't appear, but the minus icon does (so I can remove people on existing items, but not add). It looks like Zotero is just cutting off slightly before the right edge of the page, even though Zotero is maximized, because the edge of the abstract/summary content is getting cut off, too. I've tried the following:

1. Resizing the window
2. Maximizing the window
3. Updating Zotero (no update available)
4. Restarting Zotero
5. Switching from standard view to stacked view
6. Switching from stacked view to standard view
7. Closing and reopening the collections pane
8. Resizing the collections pane
9. Closing and reopening the items pane
10. Resizing the items pane
11. Creating a new item

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create new item OR open existing item
2. Attempt to click on plus icon to add author/editor

I expect to see the plus icon to add an author, as well as the full width of the item pane to view abstracts/etc.

Any help would be much appreciated!

This happens currently if you have a lot of PDF tabs open. It will be fixed soon, but for now you can just close some tabs.

If you think that's not the issue, take a screenshot, upload it somewhere (e.g., Dropbox or Google Drive), and provide a link here, or email it to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread. (We'll respond here either way.)
  • Ah, yup, that explains it! I'm a bit of a tab addict and had a bunch of files open at once, but it worked again when I closed most of them. Thanks for the speedy reply!
  • Fixed in the latest Zotero beta, and the fix will be included in 6.0.5 soon.
  • @emily.t.gerston: Zotero 6.0.5 is out now with a scrollable tab bar.
