Can I re-use a web translator and only change some attrs of the item?

On some websites the default translator works fine for most attributes like title, url, abstract but not author. Can I inherit the methods of the default translator and write a new translator for these websites, so I don't have to write all the codes from scratch.

    You'll also want to provide the URL in question and the current translator being used (which you can see by hovering over the save button).
