Running Zotero 6.0 on a Horizon system

Our library system runs all the desktop computers on a Horizon system. (Our desktop PCs use a thin client, not a CPU.) We can't get Zotero 6.0 to run. We didn't have that problem with Zotero 5. Any suggestions what might be causing the error?
  • Never heard of Horizon, but what's the actual problem?
  • The Zotero app won't load. An error message comes up saying "Zotero has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program." The only option it gives it to "Close the program."
Here's a description of the Horizon system: https://www.techtarget.com/searchvirtualdesktop/definition/VMware-Horizon-Client
  • Is this the same Fujitsu Horizon Client system that, when used by the British post office, led to the wrongful prosecution and conviction of over 700 workers for theft and fraud -- what the BBC called the most widespread miscarriage of justice in modern British history?
  • I don't think so?!? But we may be using a similar product. What our systems staff love about the Horizon system is their ability to push software updates out to all the desktops, rather than having to touch each one.
  • @bethroyall: I doubt we can do anything about that, but it also shouldn't have changed in Zotero 6. If you can provide any sort of crash log, we can take a look. You can email to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread.
  • This is sorted out. Thank you.
