citation on google docs stuck on '[updating]' + constant unlinked citations!

I cannot add any citation anymore!!!! what do I do!!

You will have to be more specific. Does it happen in new documents? Does it happen if you remove all existing {Updating} links? Which browser are you using? You should try disabling extensions in your browser to see if it helps. If not, try switching to a different browser.
