Newspaper item missing from dropdown menu

I am running Zotero 6.04 and the option to add a newspaper article is missing from the dropdown menu that appears when the plus sign is clicked. The option to add a newspaper article appears in the New Item part of the menu bar and it is possible to change the item type to a newspaper article once a new record is created.

    Check if it appears at the top of the plus-sign dropdown with other recently used item types. Types that appear at the top won't appear under the More submenu, which is where I believe you're looking.

    Following up - do you have any third-party plugins enabled in Zotero? And has the Newspaper Item item type reappeared?
