Upgrade StorageZotero PDF reader: Highlights not saved to original PDF
First of all, thank you very much for the fantastic features introduced in the recent version of Zotero.
I just had one suggestion - if you could add a feature that actually allows to save the highlights on the text inside PDF to the original file kept in the system's directory, it would be very helpful.

dstillman Zotero TeamNo, sorry. As explained there, the point of the Zotero PDF reader is to be deeply integrated into Zotero, which requires storing annotations in the database. If storing annotations in the file is a priority and you don't mind the drawbacks, you can continue using any external PDF reader.
