Bottom pages list on iPad makes changing apps problematic

On iPad, you can swipe up from the bottom of the screen to bring up the App Switcher. However, when a PDF is open in Zotero, swiping up from the bottom changes what page you're on—and there doesn't even seem to be a Back button.

Can something be done about this issue?

    I simply cannot use Zotero on my iPad until this is fixed.

    We'll try to fix that — thanks for reporting. (On iPads with a home button you can use that instead as a workaround, though obviously that's not an option on all models.)

    On my iPad, I can swipe up from the middle of the screen with 4 fingers to bring up the app switcher.

    And tapping on the screen will hide the pages, which I did not realize at first. But this still should be changed.
