Highlights gone after import/export

Hi, I did extensive highlighting outside Zotero, but when I import the file in my library they are all gone. The same happens with PDFs highlighted in Zotero then exported outside my library (by drag and drop). I searched the forum and I've found somthing related to zotfile. But I still have the problem after uninstalling zotfile? Any known bug or something I'm missing?

With what app did you annotate?
