Add Note doesn't work

When I try to add a note in Word, the Search bar doesn't work and won't show any results when I type in any of the key words associated with any of the sources in my bibliography, making it impossible to add any citations.
I've tried closing both Word and Zotero, and I have the newest version of the Zotero downloaded. What am I missing?

    Are you trying to search for the item metadata? The Add Note dialog will currently only search on the note content itself, though we have an open ticket to search on parent metadata as well.
