Upgrade StorageUpdate Citation Style -- Journal of Avian Biology

I am trying to format a manuscript using the reference format for the Journal of Avian Biology, but I noticed there are a couple of things in the existing Zotero style that do not match the journal format.
1. The journal requires DOI inclusion in the reference list (see author submission requirements at: http://www.avianbiology.org/authors/author-guidelines)
2. Journal names should be italicized in the reference list (see example: https://doi.org/10.1111/jav.02929)
3. Issue numbers should have bold font in the reference list
If it's possible to update the style to fix these issues, that would be fantastic! Alternately, would appreciate any tips for editing the style myself.

We'll have a look over the coming days.
We go by typeset papers, i.e. pdfs of articles and the style looks correct.

I've made some minor changes (thesis) and improved the style to make it more robust, but have not changed the things you mentioned.
