I could add the citations in my essays, i could save my articles. I updated my Zotero a few days ago as it requested for my update. My Zotero is 6.0.
After doing up my essay, i would usually add the reference list ie the Bibliography list however a window popped up and my full reference list does not appear in my references. I could not screen shot the window here.
I will try to describe here: Within the window that pops up (there's a "edit bibliography heading at the top left hand corner", there are 3 sections that appeared, side by side: > Section 1:The first section appears to be my library of references > Section 2: appears to be my reference list > Section 3: It has a heading "references in bibliography" which is a random list of references not tagged to the list i wanted to appear in my current essay.
At the bottom of these 3 sections, there is a word editor window with a warning at the end that says "Warning: If you edit a citation in the editor, it will no longer update to reflect the changes in your database or your citation style"
At the end of this window, on the far bottom left, it says "revert all or revert"
I have been using Zotero for the last 1 year and there were no issues. This is my first time seeing this when i want to add my reference list. I'm in my last semester now so many more references and assignments to do. So really appreciate your help here. Thank you.
That just means you already have a bibliography in the document, which you've perhaps edited by accident to remove the text. Find it, delete it, and reinsert it. You can toggle Word field codes and search for ZOTERO_BIBL to find it, and then turn field codes back off.
No, you're misunderstanding. Toggle the setting so that it shows all field codes in the document, and then search for ZOTERO_BIBL. Something happened to the existing bibliography in the document, but it will still have the field code of ZOTERO_BIBL.
I'm not good with IT's terminology. Hence, trying to follow your link which tells me either to try alt+F9 and unchecking the field code. So may i check if you would like me to open the setting and find the field codes?

Correct, you toggle field codes in your Word document by pressing alt+F9 (or alt+fn+F9), then search for ZOTERO_BIBL -- this is very likely unrelated to the update.
