Bad accent conversion when adding citations to notes

I have some text with an 'é' accent in my PDF, and when I add the citations to the note, by drag and drop, I get the characters ' ́ e' in the note.
Would that be fixable?

    And if you copy and paste the same text from PDF to any text editor I guess you get the same result? How about other PDF viewers?

    Here is what I get when I copy from the following PDF readers, and paste into gedit:

    Zotero: ́e
    Okular: é
    Evince: é
    Acrordrdc (snap): e

    Here the é for Okular and Evince look the same, but they are different on gedit. And there is a special character before the e for acrordrdc. The correct one is Evince's.

    We need the PDF or at least the specific page where the issue can be reproduced.
