Upgrade Storagelinks activated outside Zotero not working as expected when Zotero is not running
The 'zotero://select' and the 'zotero://open-pdf' links operate similarly. If Zotero is open/running, and either link is clicked from outside Zotero, the item will be selected/highlighted in the Zotero window, or the pdf will be opened, all as expected.
If Zotero is -not- open/running, clicking one or the other link will cause two Zotero windows to open simultaneously, each to the My Library tab, but no item is selected/highlighted nor is the pdf opened. On a couple of occasions, Zotero crashed.
If this is the expected behavior, then the solution for me is to launch Zotero on startup. If this is not expected behavior, is there a fix?
