Word plug-in not working in Zotero 6

Hi there,

Thank you for this new release! I was prompted to download the new version of the Word plug in after downloading the new version of Zotero. The download was successful, but the plug-in does not work. I lost the text "Zotero" header in Word and, more importantly, nothing happens when I click on one of the options like editing a citation. Any tips?

Not sure I understand that — if you don't see the "Zotero" header, what are you clicking on? Can you take a screenshot, upload it somewhere (e.g., Dropbox or Google Drive), and provide a link here?

Go to your Word Startup folder and delete Zotero.dotm, and then restart Word and confirm that it's fully removed. Then close Word, reinstall the plugin from the Zotero preferences, and try again.

This did not solve the problem for me. When I deleted Zotero.dotm, it was succsessfully removed, and when I re-installed I had the same issue that I mentioned in my original post, with the same things visible in the screen shots.

I'm afraid that's some sort of problem with your Word install, then. If you have other add-ins or templates installed in Word, try removing them. If that doesn't help, you can try deleting Normal.dotm (though I wouldn't think that would help here) or reinstalling Word.
