Upgrade StorageZotfile renaming, but not relocating files

Setting up a workflow for myself and a couple team members. We have share access to a common 'Z:/' drive where we would like to collectively store literature.
My workflow is working well, I simply save references as I collect them to my own Zotero cloud storage and intermittently bulk select my library and "Manage Attachments > Rename and Move". The Zotfile preferences point to the same custom Z drive location on each of our machines, meaning we should each have linked access to the same literary sources and library (save for those sources we haven't renamed and moved, yet).
The issue is my colleagues sources are not being relocated to that Z: drive folder, despite the Zotfile preferences pointing there. We can see that the renaming is taking place (given the on-screen notifications/prompts), but can't see where the files are actually going, or understand why they are not going to the location spec'd.
