Tutorial for XML Site Translator

I would like to write a site translator for a website that uses XML to look-up data. Are there any tutorials on this anywhere?

    You might want to take a look at the Google Books and NCBI Pubmed translators. Both extract the bibliographic information from the XML that can be requested at the respective sites.
