[Mac OS Monterey 12.3] Blank window if launched on second monitor

I'm new to using citation programs and have only downloaded Zotero today. After installing the program, it only shows a blank window that looks like this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1QAGPGAgZLUyDSpVHlxL9rC9T2d-w1sr3/view?usp=sharing

When clicking within this window it seems to interact with what would normally be there. Same with the settings menu. If I were to know where the individual options are, I'd be able to click them, just not see them. After uninstalling, scrubbing my Library and reinstalling the newest beta version, the problem still persists.
I tried to search for similar problems but couldn't find anything that fits. However in doing that I discovered that this only happens when I open Zotero on my second screen. When I open it on the first screen (in-built monitor of my laptop), then it works as intended. And draging it from the first to the second screen freezes the UI, though it still is interactable.

Which version of Zotero do you have? (You could check it via Zotero>About Zotero)
Edit: I see you have the newest beta.
  • I am using the Beta version: 6.0-beta.9+1f2f91d2d

But this problem was also present in the regular version, which should be 5.0.96.4

You may try to restart with logging enabled and see what is the error, eventually report your log error here or paste the Debug ID so the devs could look closer into the issue, if you have problems with finding specific options in the menu you may consider starting Zotero from the command line

    https://www.zotero.org/support/reporting_problems
  • I've done so and this is my ID: D955953272
  • What Mac is this and how is the second monitor connected?
  • The Mac I am using is an Intel Macbook Pro 15" 2019. The monitor is connected with a USB-C Dock via HDMI.
  • Definitely shouldn't be necessary, but you can try disabling hardware acceleration by going to the Config Editor in the Advanced pane of the preferences, setting layers.acceleration.disabled to true, and restarting Zotero. (If that doesn't help, you should reset that to the default, since it will result in reduced performance.)
  • This sadly didn't help
