searching notes with Google Desktop

Moving Zotero's storage location out of application data makes pdfs and other attached files searchable with google desktop, but notes in Zotero still are not. Making these notes readable by Google desktop would, I think, improve usability for many users. Thanks!

    I agree. But in the meantime how does one specify the location of the zotero database and how does one move it?

    gear icon->preferences->advanced->choose your custom directory.

    Note that you must restart firefox for the change to be registered & you'll be given an empty database by default. You can move/copy your Zotero data directory from its original location.
