reducing storage

I have reached the limits of my storage, and I am also very tech-unsavvy so appreciate any patient responses! I've been looking through the documentation for ways of reducing my storage, but am really confused and nervous about making changes and losing things. If I need to buy more storage so be it, but I would appreciate some clear (safe!) instructions on ways to perhaps clean up my database and possibly be selective about what I sync.

Your storage is used by attachment files in your library — generally, PDFs and webpage snapshots. You can click an item in the middle pane and press + to expand all items, and then delete attachments you don't care about and empty the trash.

If you don't want Zotero to save webpage snapshots automatically, you can disable that from the General pane of the preferences.
