Zotero Mac Beta: Cmd-C and Right-click copy have different behaviours

When copying and pasting text from an article into a note, the behaviour differs dependent on whether the text was copied by a keyboard command or mouse right-click. When using the keyboard or the menu Edit/Copy command, the text is copied as a quote, including the reference. When using the right-click mouse pop-up the text is copied as text only, excluding the reference.

Desired behaviour would be that there are two commands available via the right-click pop-up and via the Edit menu.
